Our food diary for March has followed a similar pattern to February with our food quotas remaining the same.
Our only real change has been an increase in the amount and intensity of our regular exercise.
With spring in the air, this has largely revolved around walking in the Peak District, but for greater distances, with heavier packs and up any steep hills we can find.
As the molecular fat police begin to mobilise in my body, the concept of energy balance has certainly become more visceral.
I’m much more aware of eating enough so that I don’t need to walk up the stairs like a quadriped (ie: using my hands), yet still maintaining a bit of a calorie deficit so my flabby waist gets harassed at any opportunity.
I’ve also wrestled with the Easter challenge of not grabbing a five-pack of Cadbury Creme Eggs whilst approaching a self checkout with a bag of spinach and some walnuts.
With a few other agendas this month I’ve allocated a bit less time to getting creative and have fallen back on a few regulars to keep the food flowing. In these instances I’ve omitted a photo to prevent too much repetition and to try to keep the feed vaguely interesting. Regarding breakfast that remains more or less the same as February.
